Zimmerman, Barry, and the DOJ: Keep An Eye Out For….

George Zimmerman was acquitted. The verdict comes as no great surprise to anyone with a thimbleful of common sense and a third grade understanding of “reasonable doubt.” That pretty much excludes Obama’s Department of Justice and DemoLibs.

Al Sharpton chimed in on the verdict, calling it  “a slap in the face to those that believe in justice in this country.”  Just two words here: Tawana Brawley.

Still trying to retain a fig leaf of relevance post- Operation PUSH, post- Rainbow Coalition, post-presidential bid, Jesse Jackson called the verdict “Old South justice.”

The NAACP is pressing for the DOJ to bring federal civil rights charges  against Zimmerman.

Chief prosecutor Bernie de la-la-la Rionda – who started out overcharging the case, watched the wheels come off the bus and amended his case later with lesser offenses to try nailing Zimmerman for… something – still hasn’t figured out which end is up.

DemoLib 101

To most of these folks, “justice” doesn’t seem to hinge on facts, evidence, a trial or a deliberative jury process, but on race.  Their reaction  is Exhibit A in DemoLib 101. BTW, we can all sleep better at night knowing the DOJ is on the job, facilitating anti-Zimmerman protests and  urging action against a defendant before the verdict is  even in, right?

DOJ: Department of Jabberwocky

Meanwhile, potential Department of Jabberwocky (look it up) involvement should come as no surprise. The Obama DOJ can’t seem to wrap its head around minor details like, um,  “justice.”  No surprises here either, considering Eric Holder and Company have been working overtime for an administration that’s racking up frequent flier miles en route to Scandalabra Du Jour. Like:

  •  Refusals to investigate a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party.
  • Benghazi stonewalling
  • Probable cause-less NSA snooping into phone records and other private communiques.
  • Fast and Furious
  • IRS targeting of conservatives and the Obama “Enemies List”
  • Rosengate

That’s just for starters. Check out the Top 20 Obama Scandals.

The Real Surprise

The real surprise here isn’t DOJ snooping or any other potential action related to a high profile, racially charged court case. Given this administration’s track record, it would be surprising if its DOJ doesn’t  bite when the race card is bait.

Speaking of which, leading the team for Olympic gold in Best Duh Moment  is this Obama gem:

“If people can’t trust not only the executive branch but also don’t trust Congress, and don’t trust federal judges, to make sure that we’re abiding by the Constitution with due process and rule of law, then we’re going to have some problems here.” – Barack Obama

Translation:

There, there, my pretties. Don’t you worry your little heads over anything Big Barry and Mr. Eric are up to. Remember: We’re from the government and we’re here to help.

Like in the Zimmerman case? Well, then. Keep an eye out for:

  1. Could that be flying pigs in a frozen over Hell. But seriously Eowyn, comparing the 0bama DOJ’s common sense to that of third graders is an insult to third graders.
