Murthy as Surgeon General? “I’m Not a Real Nominee, But I Play One in Senate Hearings”

Fresh off that chart-topping single, Cop Killer Advocate Adegbile Nominated to Head DOJ Civil Rights Division, President Clueless is spinning another toe-tappin’ tune: Surgeon General Nominee Vivek Murthy Sees Second Amendment as a Disease.

That’s right, folks. The same spinmeister that brought us Syria: Just the Way You Aren’t, Moon Over Benghazi, Yellow Rose of Egypt, and The First Time Ever I Saw Crimea has put forward a gun-grabbing Lefty ideologue who can’t figure out that the Second Amendment is part of the Constitution, not a suggestion.

Or maybe Murthy can, but doesn’t care. Kinda like his nominator.

Okay, okay. You gotta give Babalu Barry bonus conga points for creativity. Faced with a stone wall of opposition to a direct frontal assault on the Second Amendment, Babalu Barry has opted for yet another end run around the Constitution and We The People by making guns a “health issue.” Meanwhile, even DemoLibs can’t back away from Murthy fast enough – which puts their Prez somewhere between Cuba and Crimea River. (So what else is new?)

Have they finally figured out that America’s top doc might want to focus on um…. medicine? Curing cancer? Patient care? Maybe even some actual doctoring?  Apparently those little details escaped Babalu, whose SG nominee lacks the resume, experience and gravitas for this post. Kinda like Babalu.

As reported in LibertyUnuyielding, Vivek is also president and co-founder of Doctors for America, an anti-gun group that advocates making gun control a facet of the practice of medicine. And:

His group, which has been dubbed “Docs vs. Glocks,” has pushed Congress to ban “assault” weapons and “high-capacity” magazines.

He also wants to spend more tax dollars on more research to prove that fewer guns mean a lower crime rate, despite the fact that a number of reputable studies prove the opposite.

Incidentally, Doctors for America used to be Doctors for Obama. Here’s their mission statement:

Doctors for America is a national movement of physicians and medical students working together to improve the health of the nation and to ensure that everyone has access to affordable, high quality health care.

Their vision is:

We envision a fair, effective and affordable health care system — one fundamentally transformed and guided by the core values of doctors and our patients.

Okay, class. Count the Obamaisms in them puppies. That’s no coincidence – like that pesky “offensive video” thing in Benghazi – because DoA (pun intended) used to be Doctors for Obama. Guess who their national co-chair was?

It’s been said that  the office of U.S. Surgeon General shouldn’t be turned into a bully pit for gun control. But then, the White House should be the residence of an actual president, not the set for  Amateur Night at the Bijou.

Speakin’ of toe-tappin’ tunes, anyone else ready for:
