One Question for Obama on Charleston (Just One)

Unless you’ve been in a cave or a coma lately, you know that alleged Charleston shooter Dylann Storm Roof has been apprehended. Roof, 21, allegedly shot and killed nine people at Emmanuel AME Church in South Carolina on Wednesday. He was captured in Shelby, North Carolina on Thursday morning following an extensive man hunt, more than 12 hours after the massacre.

President Obama wasted no time politicizing the tragedy. Responding to the mass murder on Thursday, Obama said:

“We don’t have all the facts, but we do know that, once again, innocent people were killed in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hands on a gun… At some point, we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries.”

That’s code for gun control.

So I have a question for Herr Obama. Just one:

What if one person – just one – at Emmanuel AME Church had been armed and returned fire when Roof started shooting?
