Since the 1st Amendment is a topic of hot debate these days, due in part to an insufferably ridiculous majority on the U.S. Supreme Court, here’s a chance to get back to your constitutional roots. And a Reality Check.
The Tacoma Narrows Tea Party is presenting The Bill of Rights: The First Amendment with KrisAnne Hall.
Date: Friday, July 31
Time: 7:00 pm (Doors open at 6:30 for coffee and social)
Place: Gig Harbor Library, 4424 Point Fosdick Dr NW, Gig Harbor, WA
This is the second presentation in a three-part DVD series on the Bill of Rights. (If you’re a lib, don’t worry. We’ll explain it after class.)
About KrisAnne Hall:
KrisAnne Hall is a former prosecutor and Constitutional attorney who was fired from her job for teaching the Constitution to citizen groups. She is a disabled veteran of the US Army, a Russian linguist, a mother, a pastor’s wife and a patriot.
Her former employer, State Attorney for Florida’s 3rd Judicial Circuit, gave her a choice – give up her first amendment right to speak on her own time or be fired. KrisAnne said, “My first amendment rights are worth more than a paycheck and I will not surrender them.” She now travels the country and teaches the Constitution and the history that gave us our founding documents.
Ms. Hall will be in the Kitsap area in person on September 28.
