Boulder, Colorado plays host to round 6,823 of the GOP debates tonight. The Kansas City Royals take on the New York Mets in game 2 of the World Series in Kansas City. Also tonight. Regarding the debate, I’ll be watching four candidates pretty close. In between innings.

But seriously, let’s not take our eye off the ball here. Or mix up our priorities on a day when this “series of unfortunate events*” – big stuff on the radar all at the same time – forces us to … um… prioritize. I mean, c’mon. Much as I love baseball and presidential debates, the real news is that today is National Chocolate Day.

We’re talkin’ serious celebrating here. Just think of the possibilities:

Types of Chocolate

Don’t forget:

Chocolate Lasagna
Fudge
No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

“Research has found that chocolate, when eaten in moderation, can lower blood pressure.” (Why does the clause in this sentence sound like an oxy-moron?)

Well. You know where I’ll be. Don’t forget to bring the Ghiradelli’s.

* If you didn’t get that, you’ll be even more lost if I mention Lemony Snickett. So never mind.
