GUEST AUTHOR: The Principles Behind Rejecting Poorly Vetted “Refugees”

Finally. A coherent, thoughtful rationale that puts the “widows and three year-old orphans” refugee claptrap to rest. And oh, yes. For all the world-renowned Bible scholars at Evergreen State Pottage who showed up at the November 20 ACT for America rally protesting Gov. Moonbat’s plan to bring in unvetted Syrian “refugees” into the state – this one’s for you, too.

Ditto the bleeding heart libs who’ve spent years kicking God out of everything, everywhere and now suddenly accuse others of being “unChristian” on pausing the process related to unvetted “refugees.”

Talk about liberal hypocrisy. But I repeat myself.

Snarky commentary in italics by yours truly.

THE PRINCIPLES BEHIND REJECTING POORLY VETTED “REFUGEES”

First, Romans 13* is clear that purpose of government is to protect the righteous and punish the wicked. We welcome refugees…not terrorists. Thus, the duty of government is to weed out the wicked when it comes the issue of immigration. There is no effective vetting of Syrian refugees like there was for immigrants from the former Soviet Union. That is admitted even by the FBI director. There can be no argument on this, otherwise government fails in its clearly commanded duty laid out in Scripture.

(*Note for libs: That’s in the Bible. In the New Testament. Right after the Book of Acts. Before Paul’s first epistle to the Church at Corinth. It’s on page 1,766 of my Bible. Does that help? – Ed.)

Second, that is a duty of government, not individuals.* In Luke 10:25-37 charity was a duty commanded of individuals, NOT government. The parable of the Good Samaritan was told AFTER the lawyer asked “who is my neighbor?” You cannot love your neighbor if government is doing it for you. Moreover, even then the Samaritan did not board the stranger at his house because of the EXIGENCY of the situation like we face with the refugees.

(*One of the most commonly misunderstood concepts of the political landscape. This goes to the proper nature and role of government within a constitutional republic. Translation for libs: This goes to the proper nature and role of government within a constitutional republic. Thank you, Rep. Shea, for pointing this out.  – Ed.)

Third, there is a clear duty laid out for individuals through Scripture that we should never needlessly (without need or the clear command of the Lord) put our families in danger.

(Hello? Earth to Planet DemoLib? Come in, DemoLibs? – Ed.)

Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Fourth, there is a clear duty in Romans 1:32* not to be complicit in sin by aiding, abetting, being an accessory to, or countenancing through action OR inaction wrongdoing. Therefore, I would ask those advocating bringing poorly vetted refugees into our community this question: Would you invite a stranger suspected of ties to child molestation or murder into your house to sleep in the bedroom next door to your daughter JUST BECAUSE HE OR SHE IS HOMELESS? Of course not. That would be insane. You would thoroughly and effectively vet them first. AND IF YOU DIDN’T VET THEM YOU WOULD BE COMPLICIT IN THE SIN IF THAT CHILD MOLESTER OR MURDERER HARMED YOUR FAMILY BECAUSE YOU FAILED IN YOUR DUTY.

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.” ― Dietrich Bonhoeffer

(*Still in the NT. In case you’re wondering. I love anyone who knows Bonhoeffer. So few do these days. – Ed.)

Fifth, Islam advocates the consummation of marriage with 9 year old girls and the murder of innocent people (according to the Christian standard of innocence). I see many very unread and uninformed Christians who have never read “The Reliance of the Traveler” (the ONLY and AUTHORITATIVE INTERPRETATION OF ORTHODOX SUNNI ISLAM) or the history of the implementation of that document; have never spoken with a former Muslim like Shahram Hadian; and have never traveled to the Middle East. Yet, those “Christians” lecture on a subject they no nothing about with a moral equivocation about Islam that is contrary to everything they profess to believe.

(Uh…. yeah…. Hi Travis. – Ed.)

What we see happening is “hijrah, ” the doctrine of “jihad” by immigration… thus 70%+ of the “refugees” being military-aged males. The Muslim Brotherhood of America’s “An Explanatory Memorandum” which was discovered in a secret sub-basement during an FBI raid lays out clearly their strategy is to destroy the United States through immigration. THIS IS THEIR WORDS FOUND AS A MATTER OF FACT IN A U.S. FEDERAL DISTRICT COURT DURING THE HOLY LAND FOUNDATION TRIAL. I TAKE ISLAM AT ITS WORD…SO SHOULD YOU.

Sixth, the quote by George Washington oft used by the ignorant “The bosom of America is open to receive not only the opulent and respectable stranger, but the oppressed and persecuted of all nations and religions; whom we shall welcome to a participation of all our rights and privileges, if by decency and propriety of conduct they appear to merit the enjoyment” has a huge IF at the end.* Don’t pretend that IF doesn’t exist. George Washington would have fought those espousing “hijrah” and “jihad.” In fact, he did with the Barbary Pirates.

(*Don’t ya hate it when them pesky “ifs” show up? Kinda takes the fun out of being ignorant and arrogant, huh? – Ed.)

Seventh, we must fight according to the Constitution and we do not need to give up any liberty to do so. Case in point: When initial negotiations failed with the Barbary Pirates, Washington’s administration pushed Congress to declare war. http://gwpapers.virginia.edu/…/gw-and-the-barbary-coast-pi…/ When Congress didn’t declare war, he kept negotiating BUT he clearly defined their actions as those of the enemy and took defensive measures only. https://www.libertyclassroom.com/warpowers/ One such defensive measure in the case of Syrian Refugees would be to ENSURE they are not enemy agents before allowing them in the country. https://itooktheredpill.wordpress.com/…/george-washingtons…/

Eighth, to the leaders reading this, we are called by God to be Shepherds in 1 Peter 5:2.* A Shepherd carried both a rod and a staff. The latter for disciplining sheep the former for fending off wolves… even those in sheep’s clothing. The wolves are among us. Are you trained with your rod to fend off the wolves?

(*Still in the NT. Right before II Peter. It’s on page 1,935 of my Bible. You’re welcome. – Ed.)
